Dog Friendly Campsites

Just to say that we have recently launched a new campsite database and one of the heavily requested directories was for campsites that allow dogs.

This section has now been added and we welcome any suggestions for new campsites, areas or directories

The campsite database can be found here http://www.touringandtenting.com/campsites/index.php

WAP Website

How it works is still baffling me, but I have set it up and it works, it's a bit slow and the content needs working on but we do have a wap prescence now so that can't be bad.

The next step is to look at how I make the site viewable on a mobile??

A long way to go yet.

For those with an interest you can see it oline here Http://www.buzzed.co.uk/wap/caravanning

Caravan theft - I liked the description

GRANTHAM: A new touring caravan has been stolen from a caravan dealer's site.

The Sterling Eccles Elite Overlander caravan was stolen from Grantham Caravans' forecourt in Spitalgate some time before about 9.30am yesterday.

The caravan is white and 7.5 metres long. It is estimated to be worth up to £17,000.

That narrows the search down

New campsite database and home page

Just to let you know we have been busy lately with some new additions.

Firstly we now have a campsite database which will eventually replace the existing campsite pages.

You can find it here
http://www.touringandtenting.com/campsites/index.php.

We thought long and hard about it and we are staying with our specialist directories rather than go the way of other websites trying to list every campsite in the country.

Features
You can review and rate all campsites
You can add your own campsites
You can add a category
You can refer a campsite to a friend
You can search by campsite name, county, country.

When you click on a county in one of the specialist directories it will give you all the campsites in that county. click on the name and it will give you more information plus a picture where applicable.

To do
Some sections not complete
Photo's where applicable to be added
The email link to be made clickable (it's doing my head in)
The European section to be developed

I must thank the missus as she has transfered and updated the majority of the information, no easy task (she nearly killed me when I suggested we change)

I have also updated the home page and this will be roughly how all pages will look in the future as I change them over. The logo at the top has been renamed and everything is on style sheets so it should be quicker.

Please take a bit of time and have a look around it, we really do need your feedback as many of the ideas for it have come from you in the past.

Hope you like it and let us know either way

PS When a campsite gets a good review it gets one of these.
