Caravan, motorhome, tent reviews
I have been knocking this about for sometime now, but the recent 2007 purchases thread made me finish it.
It is a review/listing system for caravans, motorhomes and tents/trailer tents.
You can add your current or previous outfits, even if they are listed already you can still add your own.
You can add a review and rate outfits you have listed or others have listed.
There are basically 2 parts, basic information like make and model and technical like M.T.P.L.M, M.R.O etc.
There is also a couple questions for water ingress, manufacturer satifaction etc.
Each category has different questions eg if you have a motorhome it asks for engine type.
Current categories are
Tents and trailers
Trailer tents
Folding campers
Tents
Tourers
Single Axle
Twin axle
Folding
Motorhomes
Fixed-roof campers
Elevating-roof campers
High-top campers
coachbuilt
Over-cab coachbuilt
A-class
5th Wheel (demountable)
American RV
Caravan, motorhome, tent reviews
Its early days yet so there will be some glitches please let me know
If you want to add your outfit please try to add as much info as possible, also be sure to pick the right category eg twin axle etc
You can find it www.touringandtentingonline.com/caravan/
ps I haven't finished the review area off yet so ignore the tiny text box, it will change

The Bar and restaurant have been completely renovated by the current owners. The bar is used by locals and tourists alike and is busy all year around. The Restaurant has an excellent reputation in the area for producing quality cuisine at realistic prices. Several cottage and Gite letting businesses operate in the area, the clients of which use 'La Plage' all year around.
Although considerable improvement has been made to the structure of the buildings and to the turnover and reputation there still remains ample opportunity for the purchasers to 'put their own mark' on the business. For example the upstairs of the building has not yet been renovated. Here 8 rooms exists with obvious potential for Bed and Breakfast or owners' occupation.

A bit about Towsure
Towsure began in 1967 as a small family store in the suburbs of Sheffield, selling towing brackets and trailer parts. Throughout the seventies the demand for towing, trailer parts and accessories grew, and so in 1977 Towsure produced their first mail order catalogue to demonstrate their wide range of low cost parts.
In 1978 Towsure also began manufacture of their own towing brackets and trailer parts. Throughout the following years the mail order catalogue continued to grow, and by the mid eighties due to the demand of its customers, and the awareness of Towsure for the need of low cost camping goods, Towsure widened its horizons and also started to offer camping and caravanning. This range of goods grew to emcompass Marine Products, Awnings, Tents, Clothing, Cycles, Accessories and much more.
Touring and Tenting have been pleased to be associated with Towsure in the past with a recent promotion of there Expo site various competitions and an invite to go behind the scenes at Towsure
What campsites did you visit in 2006
Written by beamer
Friday, 12 January 2007
Following an idea from beamer, members are listing the campsites they stayed in during 2006. Hopefully we can then start linking them to the campsite reviews and creating a nice database for members to choose their campsites from.
Lets see if we can build this up and in the process help each other to find the good and bad campsites in the UK and on the continent. To do this all you need to do is add the campsites you visited in 2006 to the thread currently running on the forums.
read more and add your campsites here
So far the there are campsites in the UK and France. The thread has only been open two days and already we have over 150 campsites listed.

"hi there, thanks for the replies more posts the merrier and then maybe we can do a spreadsheet showing which members have been where last year and then maybe we could all enter a review in this sites database. with the large number of members on this website we all have valuable info to help each other find or choose a caravan site. were already over 150"
cheers mike (beamer)

New to you purchases in 2007
Written by on the road again
Friday, 12 January 2007
This thread is proposed for monitoring how many Caravans , Motorhomes , trailer tents , cars etc over £200 that members will purchase over the next year .
I would like to include , caravans , motorhomes, trailer tents , tow cars and any other expensive items such as movers and awnings, whether brand new or new to you.
Also how many berths your vehicle has to see which is the most popular size and of course the make of caravan, motorhome , trailer-tent and tow car.

For towcars , please include engine size , make , petrol or diesel and manual or automatic. The only stipulations are that the new vehicles etc must be purchased OR if previously ordered , delivered after 1st January 2007 , this is to keep it simple and give us a full annual number.
I will update the stats on a regular basis .
